Some folks think it's a Jinn, a kind of ghost from local legends, and they say it only slaps people who have done bad things. A few locals even believe there might be more than one Jinn hanging around.
There are also stories claiming these Jinns do more than slap. Some people say they’ve been thrown into the nearby canal, yet, strangely, no deaths have ever been reported. Those who experienced these encounters survive to share their unsettling stories.
The government has made plans to expand the road into a four-lane highway, which may lead to the demolition of the old bridge and its replacement.
